Custom digital clock with built in phone charging made as a gift in 2016. Simple LED lit clock with a seamless modern design while also being functional. LEDs are driven by an Arduino running off a small transformer which also powers the USB cable going to the phone charger. Enclosure is hand cut from walnut and the LED holes are drilled manually using a vector drawn template. Each hour LED and every 3 minute LED is wired directly to a GPIO pin. Hour LEDs are current-limited to match brightness of the minute LEDs. Code written in Arduino IDE drives the LEDs to display the time set from an RTC module.
